Does Logitech Powerplay work with Qi? ›

【For charging】: The MOSHOU Powercore module can be quickly charged with a Qi wireless charger. However, the Logitech PowerPlay Mousepad is a stand-alone wireless charging system and cannot be charged for third-party products.

The G Pro X Superlight gaming mouse has an internal, re-chargeable battery with up to 70h of life. It can be charged with the included micro USB cable. It is also compatible with the Powerplay wireless charging gaming pad. The dongle is the wireless USB receiver for your PC.

This one will not charge your phone or any device not specifically meant for it - but the ENTIRE pad is a charging surface for the mouse. Also, the pad syncs with your mouse, so you can remove the dongle/adaptor that connects the mouse to the computer.

POWERPLAY creates an energy field above its surface that allows charging even while a mouse is in motion and delivers power without interfering with the precise measurement and data transmission of a high-performance gaming mouse.

Pronounced "chee" from Chinese, meaning "life force," Qi is a wireless charging method from the Wireless Power Consortium. Introduced in 2009, Qi is based on "closely coupled" electromagnetic induction that requires the device to be aligned on top of the coil on the charging pad.

Wireless charging uses a charging pad to transmit power wirelessly via electromagnetic induction. This works because the wireless inductive charging station creates an electromagnetic field between the charger and phone to transmit the electric current through the airwaves.

Phone batteries charge the same, whether power is coming over a cable or wirelessly. Your phone prevents its battery from being overcharged regardless of the power source. Just as with a cable, it's safe to wirelessly charge your phone overnight and charging will stop once your battery is full.

However, it's important to note that MagSafe chargers may not be compatible with Android devices due to differences in charging technology. In contrast, Qi Wireless charging serves as a universal standard adopted by various smartphone manufacturers, ensuring compatibility across different brands and platforms.

Providing they support the same wireless charging standard (e.g. Qi), you can use any wireless charger with your smartphone. They don't need to be made by the same manufacturer—you can use a Samsung wireless charger with an iPhone, for example.
