How much is the Hoosier Lottery? ›

Players can purchase a $2 Hoosier Lotto ticket at any participating retailer. Players also can add +PLUS for $1 for a chance to win $1 million or other prizes in a second drawing that occurs immediately after the Hoosier Lotto drawing.

Please make sure to sign and complete the back of your ticket. For Scratch-off games you have 180 days from the game end date to claim your prize. For Draw games you have 180 days from the drawing date to claim your prize. For Fast Play games you have 180 days from the purchase date to claim your prize.

For prizes $600 and above, players can claim their prize via mail or at their local District Office. For complete instructions on how to claim a prize by mail, please visit the Claim A Prize page. Prizes up to $599 can be claimed at a California Lottery retailer.

Will I have to pay taxes on my prize? The Hoosier Lottery withholds 24 percent in federal tax if the winnings minus the wager are more than $5,000 and 3.23 percent in state tax on any winnings that exceed $1,200. You may want to consult with a tax advisor to determine whether you will owe any additional taxes.

1. $2.04 billion. The largest lottery jackpot to date, a Powerball drawing, was won on Nov. 7, 2022.

Matching even two of the six Hoosier Lotto numbers earns the player a free ticket. Matching three of the six numbers wins $2, four right is good for $20, five out of six pays $500, and matching all six numbers wins the jackpot.

The last Hoosier Lotto jackpot win occurred on Sept. 7, 2022, and was worth an estimated $19.5 million. By selling the winning Hoosier Lotto jackpot ticket, the retailer will receive $100,000. Players can purchase a $2 Hoosier Lotto ticket at any participating retailer.

All Hoosier Lottery Draw game prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing. The winning Powerball numbers for Saturday, February 12 are: 8-10-21-41-62 with the Powerball of 7.
