What are the hours for UH On Demand Virtual Care?: UH On Demand Virtual Care is available 7 days a week, 7 a.m. – 11 p.m., EST.
Can you access UH On Demand Virtual Care from anywhere?: Patients can access UH On Demand Care from anywhere convenient to them – home, school or work. Due to licensing requirements, you must be physically located within the State of Ohio at the time of service to use UH On Demand Virtual Care.
Does insurance cover UH On Demand Virtual Care visits?: UH On Demand Virtual Care visits are $65 per video visit. You may choose to bill your insurance (you may be asked to pay a copay) or you can choose not to use insurance and pay for this visit up front. Many insurances will apply a virtual visit to your deductible or cover part of the service.
Will my primary care provider be notified of this visit?: We use electronic medical records, so your UH provider will be able see the record of this visit and coordinate referrals with University Hospitals specialists if you need further care.
Can I do a UH On Demand Virtual Care visit with my child?: This service is available for pediatric patients age 1 year and older. Child must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Please have a flashlight and thermometer handy.
How quickly can I see a provider?: Most patients are seen within 15 minutes.
Can UH On Demand Virtual Care write prescriptions?: If a prescription is needed for your urgent care visit, your healthcare provider can prescribe it. The prescription will electronically be sent to the pharmacy of choice.
